In the realm of intelligent transportation and autonomous driving, traffic light recognition is a vital capability for ensuring safe driving and efficient traffic flow. SingTown Technology's AI smart camera solution, built upon the OpenMV platform, utilises machine vision and computer vision technologies to accurately identify traffic light signals across various complex environments, facilitating real-time judgement and decision-making.
The system continuously captures clear road images through high-speed cameras, and AI algorithms can identify and classify the colour characteristics, brightness variations, and spatial positions of red, yellow, and green light sources, maintaining high accuracy even in environments with strong light, rain, fog, or at night. The image recognition module supports frame-level real-time analysis, providing immediate decision-making basis for autonomous driving or traffic control systems.
The recognition results can be directly transmitted to the vehicle's main control system or traffic monitoring platform to control operations such as vehicle startup, stopping, and steering, ensuring driving safety and smooth traffic flow.
The OpenMV intelligent camera features low power consumption, high frame rate, and a compact design, making it suitable for projects requiring edge deployment, such as in autonomous vehicles, smart intersection monitoring devices, or urban traffic terminals.
