In scenarios such as intelligent manufacturing, automated sorting, and experimental operations, the core capability for achieving high-efficiency automated tasks lies in the robot's accurate identification of object positions and completion of automated grasping. SingTown Technology's AI smart camera solution, based on the OpenMV platform, utilises machine vision and image recognition technologies to achieve real-time identification, positioning, and coordinate output of desktop bottles.
The system utilises cameras to capture images of the workbench surface. AI algorithms accurately identify the bottle's outline, colour features, and spatial position, calculating the two-dimensional or three-dimensional coordinates of the bottle body. The recognition data can be transmitted in real-time to the robotic arm control system via communication interfaces, enabling automatic identification, grasping, and placement.
The system can adapt to varying lighting conditions, backgrounds, and bottle materials, ensuring high recognition rates and positioning accuracy even in complex industrial environments. The OpenMV smart camera features a compact size, low power consumption, and support for high frame rate operation, offering the advantage of edge deployment. It can independently complete the recognition-output workflow locally, making it suitable for installation at the end of robotic arms, above conveyor belts, or on fixed inspection stations, enabling high-speed dynamic recognition and grasping control with ease.
