GithubIn reconnaissance, mapping, and target tracking missions for fixed-wing UAVs, the system is required to possess capabilities for real-time target recognition, continuous tracking, and angle information feedback.
Traditional vision modules exhibit poor recognition stability during high-speed flight and in complex backgrounds, and lack angle output interfaces, making it difficult to achieve precise target localization and feedback control.
To this end, drone manufacturers have introduced SingTown's OpenMV intelligent camera recognition technology, integrating AI machine vision, target tracking algorithms, and angle feedback functions to build an intelligent aerial target recognition and positioning system.

Unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturers utilize SingTown Technology's OpenMV intelligent camera recognition technology to achieve real-time target detection, automatic tracking, and angle feedback output.
The camera module is integrated with the gimbal and installed beneath the fuselage of the fixed-wing drone. During flight, it employs image recognition and neural network training algorithms to continuously lock onto targets such as vehicles, individuals, or markers.
After locking onto the target, the gimbal automatically adjusts its tracking based on image offset and outputs the target's azimuth and elevation. These angle data are transmitted back to the ground station or main control microcontroller via serial port or wireless link for attitude adjustment or navigation control.
The system maintains high stability during flight, with recognition distance adjustable based on lens focal length and environmental conditions, adapting to variations in aerial lighting and background complexity.
Utilizing the edge-side AI computing and image processing features of OpenMV, the system can perform edge detection, angle output, and communication feedback without requiring an external computer.
Through SingTown Technology's machine vision intelligent camera recognition technology, drone manufacturers have successfully achieved real-time tracking and angular feedback positioning of single targets, providing an efficient and low-power embedded vision solution for tasks such as aerial surveillance, precise delivery, and intelligent navigation.
