In the process of cable production and assembly, manual counting and arrangement detection are inefficient and prone to errors, making it difficult to meet the demands of high-precision manufacturing and online quality inspection. The camera is positioned above the detection zone, providing a vertical view of the cable arrangement area. The objects of detection are wires with diameters ranging from 1 to 5 millimeters, organized in sets of twelve with an approximate spacing of 24 millimeters between them. A black baffle is placed underneath the wires to improve contrast.

The system utilizes edge detection, grayscale segmentation, and morphological analysis algorithms to precisely identify the position and quantity of each wire, ascertaining the presence of any skew, absence, or abnormal spacing.

The SingTown intelligent camera features edge AI, enabling local computation and real-time image processing. It directly outputs detection signals to the control system to achieve automatic alarm or rejection. Its detection latency is below 200 milliseconds, making it suitable for high-speed production lines.
