SingTown AI Vision Module - High-Performance Neural Network Object Detection

Product Introduction

SingTown AI Vision Module, priced at 249, requires no programming, no expansion board, and no lens replacement. Its functions are limited to neural network object detection and classification, yet it delivers high performance. For object detection, it can run YOLOv5s at 15 frames per second and can be trained on any desired subject. It features 64MB of RAM, 16MB of FLASH, high computing power of 1T OPS (int4) and 0.5T OPS (int8), and includes an NPU.

Users only need to utilise our SingTown Cloud Service to train neural network models online. Training can be completed in just 10 minutes, resulting in models and code suitable for the SingTown AI Vision Module. The model and code can then be loaded into the camera to enable automatic offline operation. Results such as object detection or classification, along with positional coordinates, are transmitted via the serial port and can be relayed to the user's other main controllers. Power can be supplied either by connecting 5V to VIN and GND, or via USB, and both methods can be used simultaneously.

The distinction between the SingTown AI Vision Module and the OpenMV Cam:

1. The OpenMV Cam achieves its functionality through Python programming, offering not only AI capabilities but also a wide range of general image processing features.

2. The SingTown AI Vision Module is specifically designed for AI applications. It enables neural network training via the SingTown AI Cloud Service, transmits operational results through a serial port, and is not programmable. When running neural network object detection, it achieves 15 FPS with YOLOv5s, offering significantly higher neural network performance compared to the OpenMV Cam.

3. The SingTown AI Vision Module and OpenMV are not mutually exclusive and can be used complementarily. If only neural network object detection or classification is required, the SingTown AI Vision Module can be utilised. For programming, other image processing algorithms, additional expansion board functionalities, or different lenses, OpenMV may be employed. The SingTown AI Vision Module and OpenMV can also be used simultaneously, with the SingTown AI Vision Module capable of transmitting neural network detection data to OpenMV via a serial port.
