The SingTown OpenMV intelligent camera recognition technology utilizes machine vision and AI image recognition algorithms to accurately identify the spatial coordinates of the intersection point of two 0.5mm thick cables. It automatically excludes the central area, extracting only the data from the upper and lower intersection points. This solution can be installed at production line inspection stations to monitor the integrity of the cable braiding structure in real-time, providing a reliable basis for subsequent automatic positioning, error correction, and appearance inspection.

The cable braiding inspection system developed by industrial manufacturing enterprises based on SingTown's OpenMV intelligent camera has achieved cable intersection detection.
The system installs high-resolution cameras fixed above the production line inspection area to capture real-time images of cable surface textures through high-resolution lenses.
The captured images are automatically recognized by the built-in system using AI machine vision algorithms: by combining edge detection and geometric fitting techniques, the system can accurately identify the intersection area of two 0.5mm thick lines on the cable surface.
By utilizing the morphological operations and coordinate extraction functions of the OpenMV module, the system can quickly determine the positions of intersections, retain only the effective upper and lower intersection points, and output their precise coordinate data to the control system in real time.
In dynamic production environments, this system demonstrates high stability and anti-interference capability, achieving millisecond-level response under close-range installation conditions.
The identified cross-coordinate data can be utilized in processes such as automatic adjustment of cable winding angles, correction of positional deviations, and defect detection, significantly enhancing inspection efficiency and product consistency.
