This lens allows your OpenMV to see at a greater distance (magnification). The standard lens that comes with OpenMV has a 115° field of view (FOV), allowing your OpenMV Cam to see more but with less detail. This lens has a 15° FOV, providing about 8x magnification for your OpenMV.

Applications

The telephoto lens is perfect for applications where OpenMV needs to magnify certain targets. For example, the telephoto lens can magnify someone's eyes, making it easier to track eye movements without infrared light, thus making it easier to determine pupil direction.
