GithubIn hazardous or restricted areas, crossing the boundary itself is a risk signal. Compared to physical fences, visual boundary detection is more flexible and easier to adjust. OpenMV makes safety boundaries “visible and responsive.”

In industrial production, warehousing and logistics, hazardous operations, and key control areas, personnel or equipment crossing boundaries into restricted zones often indicates potential safety risks, requiring immediate detection and intervention to prevent accidents.
Traditional intrusion prevention primarily relies on physical fences, infrared beam detectors, or manual monitoring—offering poor deployment flexibility and being prone to missed detections or delayed responses in complex environments.
By deploying SingTown’s OpenMV smart camera, flexible and efficient visual boundary violation monitoring can be achieved without the need for physical modifications.
The system continuously determines whether personnel or equipment enter restricted areas, based on configurable virtual perimeter lines or zones, combined with human detection or object detection algorithms running locally on the OpenMV device. The recognition logic is performed locally without relying on cloud-based analysis.
Once a boundary violation occurs, OpenMV can immediately output control or alarm signals at the edge side to trigger equipment shutdown, audio-visual alarms, access control systems, or safety alert devices, thereby controlling risks at the earliest stage.
By embedding the out-of-bound detection capability directly into the camera, OpenMV delivers a real-time protection solution for industrial and security applications—characterized by low latency, high reliability, and rapid deployment—significantly enhancing on-site safety management.
