In art exhibitions, commercial events, and large public spaces, creating immersive interactive experiences is key to attracting crowds and enhancing engagement. SingTown Technology's AI smart camera system, built on OpenMV, can analyze the clothing colors of on-site crowds in real time and drive the lighting system to achieve intelligent color-changing interactions.
The system employs on-device artificial intelligence to detect and isolate human-shaped targets within the camera feed, extracting dominant color data and computing the color distribution of the group. Upon detecting a rise in the proportion of a particular color (such as a predominance of blue attire), the ambient lighting automatically adapts to the corresponding color palette, fostering a dynamic interaction between the spatial ambiance and the gathering.
This system can coordinate multiple cameras to achieve zoned lighting control and supports edge deployment on the device side, enabling a closed-loop recognition-decision process without reliance on cloud services or external computers. Leveraging the compact size and extremely low energy consumption of the OpenMV smart camera as an embedded vision solution, the system can be flexibly integrated into exhibit structures or lighting control modules, making it widely applicable across diverse scenarios such as exhibition installations, stage spaces, and large-scale commercial venues.
The system's edge-side AI algorithm demonstrates robust resilience, ensuring consistent recognition under complex lighting conditions and in high pedestrian traffic scenarios, while also accommodating custom logic, such as "color blending activates designated lighting effects.
