AI Sentinel Based on OpenMV: Automatic Alert for Unattended Key Locations

Traditional methods primarily rely on manual inspections or access control log reviews, making it difficult to promptly detect frequent changes in door status, with issues often identified only after they occur.

Based on SingTown’s OpenMV smart camera, continuous and automated visual monitoring of access control status can be performed.

After deployment at the entrance, OpenMV performs on-device door-object detection and analyses the door panel’s angle, opening extent, and morphological changes to determine whether the door is closed, partially open, or fully open. Time-based rules can also be applied to differentiate between brief, normal openings and prolonged, abnormal openings.

The system can instantly generate alerts on the device side when a door remains open for an extended period or is opened outside permitted hours, thereby triggering联动 with access control systems, operations and maintenance platforms, or on-duty personnel to enable automated response.

Since the judgment logic runs directly on the camera’s edge side, the system operates stably and responds swiftly, making it highly suitable for scenarios demanding exceptional continuity and reliability, such as server rooms and power distribution rooms.
