In agricultural research, ecological monitoring, and breeding management, timely understanding of the growth status of animals and plants is crucial for scientific decision-making and production management. SingTown Technology's AI smart camera solution, based on the OpenMV platform, enables automatic recognition and classification of the growth status of organisms. This addresses the issues of time-consuming traditional manual observation, susceptibility to subjective influences, and the inability to conduct continuous, round-the-clock monitoring.
After the system captures the target image in real-time through the camera, the AI algorithm can analyse body shape, morphology, colour, and dynamic features to identify different growth stages or health conditions. For example, the maturity of plants can be determined by the colour depth and size changes of leaves or stems; the distinction between larvae and adults can be made based on the body shape and movements of insects or other small animals. Image recognition technology can also handle complex backgrounds and lighting variations, ensuring the stability and accuracy of the data.
The OpenMV intelligent camera features low power consumption, compact size, and high frame rate, enabling flexible edge deployment in greenhouses, farmlands, or ecological monitoring stations for continuous, round-the-clock observation. Recognition results can be directly applied to growth status statistics, automated management decisions, or anomaly alerts.
