OpenMV N6 – High-Performance AI Image Recognition, Effortlessly Enabling Complex Applications
The OpenMV N6 is currently the most powerful machine vision module in the OpenMV series, combining the robust capabilities of a single-board computer with the agility of a microcontroller. It is specifically designed for efficient AI inference and image processing, making it suitable for applications such as robotics, industrial automation, drones, and smart surveillance.

Core Configuration – Powerful Algorithm and Image Processing Capabilities
●High-Performance Main Control Chip:Featuring the STM32N6 processor, it supports an 800MHz Cortex-M55 CPU with ARM Helium acceleration for computer vision libraries, delivering significantly enhanced performance compared to the previous H7 generation.
●NPU Acceleration:Integrated with a 1GHz 600 Giga OPS NPU, capable of running YOLO models at over 30 FPS, featuring a hardware-level AI neural processing unit.
●Multi-functional AI Image Recognition Algorithm:Efficient high-resolution image processing, capable of running gesture recognition, image segmentation, object detection, and other tasks with ease and smoothness.
●Efficient Video Stream Processing:Onboard GPU, equipped with an Image Signal Processor (ISP), integrates on-chip H.264 and JPEG hardware codecs, supporting MP4 video recording.
Supports a variety of advanced camera modules
●PAG7936 - 1-Megapixel Colour Global Shutter Module,The OpenMV N6 comes standard with a camera module, capable of a frame rate of up to 480 FPS per second, suitable for industrial high-speed motion recognition.
●PS5520 - 5-Megapixel HDR Camera Module,Supports high-quality image capture, clearly recognising images in outdoor bright light or low-light scenarios.
●GENX320 - Event Camera Module:High Dynamic Range HDR sensor, which only recognises motion imagery, enables OpenMV to rapidly track moving objects at an extremely high frame rate (375 FPS+).
●Infrared Thermal Imaging + RGB Colour Image Dual Mode:More convenient operation for high-resolution thermal imaging recognition with simultaneous comparison to visible light images.
Rich functionality and peripheral interfaces
●More Diverse Intelligent Applications:Onboard Wi-Fi, Bluetooth BLE v5.2, supports Ethernet, high-speed USB-HS, equipped with IMU attitude sensor, accelerometer, microphone, and UHS-I μSD card slot.
●Rich interfaces, easier integration:Provides 18 GPIO and SWD/JTAG debugging interfaces, enabling connection to any electronic device. Built-in 3.7V lithium battery charge and discharge management facilitates integration into end equipment.
●Extremely Low Power Consumption:In deep sleep mode, power consumption is as low as 1mA, providing up to one year of battery life. At full power, the entire device operates with a power consumption of only 0.75W (180mA@5V).

Minimal size, high performance
● Dimensions are merely 1 inch by 1 inch (2.54 cm by 2.54 cm), and a protective case is provided.
●Dual-core processor:Alif Ensemble E3, dual-core Cortex-M55 CPU with vector acceleration.
●Dual-core NPU:Running the YOLO model at over 30 FPS. It also features a built-in GPU for accelerated image scaling.
● Full power operation consumes only 0.25W (60mA@5V). In deep sleep mode, power consumption is below 2.5mW (500uA@5V), and it can be awakened by sound, motion, date, or time, achieving "grade-level" battery life.
Multimodal Sensing, Effortlessly Embedding AI Machine Vision into Any Device
●Built-in multi-sensor:1MP high frame rate 200FPS colour global shutter camera module, IMU attitude sensor, microphone, 8x8 ToF distance sensor, data can be directly processed by the NPU.
●Interface Extension:It can be connected to the external world via USB-HS, WiFi/BLE Bluetooth, or Qwiic. Abundant GPIO pins are available for SPI, I2C, I3C, UART, and PWM control.
Dual-core power, capable of running AI models simultaneously.
● Dual-core collaborative AI model operation: The low-power core independently processes sensor data and runs NPU-accelerated AI models, while the main core remains in sleep mode for energy saving, waking up for photography or data transmission when triggered by events.
Both cores utilise dedicated areas of the 13.5MB on-chip SRAM, enabling the simultaneous execution of complex applications.
● Shared access to peripherals such as GPIO pins and sensors including microphones, accelerometers, and gyroscopes enables the distribution of application tasks across multiple cores.
