In industrial manufacturing, electronic assembly, and scientific research experiments, the relative positions and spacing of planar graphics are critical quality indicators. Traditional manual measurement is not only inefficient but also prone to errors. SingTown Technology's AI smart camera solution, based on the OpenMV platform, utilises computer vision and machine vision technologies to achieve rapid recognition and precise spacing measurement of planar graphics.
The system captures images through the camera and identifies the contours and boundaries of the target graphics. The AI algorithm automatically calculates the straight-line distance between two graphics and supports annotating the measurement results. Even if the graphics exhibit slight rotation, scaling, or perspective distortion, the algorithm maintains high-precision measurement through feature point matching and image correction.
The OpenMV intelligent camera features a compact size and low power consumption, enabling flexible edge deployment in pipeline inspection stations, laboratory workbenches, or automated assembly equipment to achieve continuous, real-time visual measurement. Users can perform model training based on graphics of different sizes and shapes to optimise recognition and measurement accuracy.
