In hazardous or restricted areas, boundary violation itself is a risk indicator. Compared to physical fences, visual boundary violation detection is more flexible and easier to adjust. OpenMV makes safety boundaries “visible and responsive.”

In industrial production, warehousing and logistics, hazardous operations, and key control areas, personnel or equipment crossing into restricted zones often indicates potential safety risks and must be detected and stopped immediately to prevent accidents.

Traditional perimeter protection primarily relies on physical fences, infrared beam detectors, or manual monitoring, resulting in poor deployment flexibility and a high likelihood of missed detections or delayed responses in complex environments.

By deploying the SingTown OpenMV intelligent camera, flexible and efficient visual boundary violation monitoring can be achieved without requiring physical modifications.

The system continuously determines whether personnel or equipment enter restricted areas based on configurable virtual perimeter lines or zones, combined with human detection or object detection algorithms running locally on the OpenMV device. Recognition logic is performed locally without reliance on cloud-based analysis.

Once a boundary violation occurs, OpenMV can immediately output control or alarm signals on-device to trigger equipment shutdown, audible and visual alarms, access control systems, or safety alert devices, thereby controlling risks at the earliest stage.

By embedding boundary detection capabilities directly into the camera, OpenMV delivers a real-time protection solution for industrial and security applications—characterised by low latency, high reliability, and rapid deployment—significantly enhancing on-site safety management.
