In power, communication, and industrial assembly scenarios, the colour identification of wires and cables helps distinguish functions, phase sequences, or signal channels. However, traditional manual inspection still suffers from low efficiency and a high error rate, especially when multiple cables are intertwined or overlapping, making identification significantly more challenging.
SingTown's AI smart camera solution, built on the OpenMV platform, leverages machine vision and computer vision technologies to rapidly and accurately identify the colour markings of multiple electrical cables, offering a more efficient solution path.
The system's camera will capture real-time images of electrical cables, with AI algorithms analyzing the colour characteristics, brightness, and arrangement position of each cable, supporting simultaneous parallel recognition of five or more cables. The image recognition technology can adapt to variations in lighting, cable bending, or obstructions, ensuring stable and accurate identification.
The recognition results can be directly used for automated wiring guidance, sorting, or assembly control, enabling efficient and reliable workflow. The SingTown smart camera features low power consumption, high frame rate, and compact size, supporting edge deployment on production lines, assembly workstations, or wiring inspection points. It operates efficiently and stably for extended periods without relying on external servers.
